Below is information on immunization availability from the Medical Center institutions.
Methodist Hospital
Methodist Hospital provides appropriate immunizations to patients receiving treatment in our ERs or as inpatients; it does not offer general immunization clinics for the community.
St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital
Baptist Health System received the Gold Award from the Metropolitan Health District in 2011 for achieving excellent flu immunization rates among its staff, volunteers and physicians.
St. Luke’s provides vaccines to employees, medical and healthcare staff. Patients are also provided vaccines/immunizations as needed.
St. Luke’s does not provide vaccines/immunizations to the public; however, Baptist Health System’s Mobile Health Unit offers free community health screenings and flu vaccines in the fall.
UT Medicine San Antonio
UT Medicine provides a full line of vaccinations for children and adults, as well vaccinations required for travel and work in foreign countries. Check with your doctor for providers.
University Health System
Any patient in need of a vaccine/immunization can visit any of our outpatient clinics for expedited service. Each year, University Health System assists in several city-wide back-to-school immunization drives to help ensure that every school-age child is up to date with his/her immunizations. In addition, University Health System hosts an annual a Back-to-School Immunization drive at the Texas Diabetes Institute where a limited number of children receive shots, school and sports physicals.
